The Grupo Siro Foundation will grant scholarships to two students with excellent academic backgrounds.
July 30, 2018.- Grupo Siro and I + dea, Research and Development Center, reached a collaboration agreement with the University of Burgos to promote postgraduate studies in the agri-food sector.
Together they launched a new Master in Management, Innovation and Industrial Application of Cereals and derived products. With this initiative, they intend to cover the market’s demand for professionals with deep knowledge on cereals’ transformation.
“At Grupo Siro we are committed to creating jobs in the communities where we operate. With this initiative we aim not only to attract talent but also to improve the employability of graduate students”, claimed Álvaro López, Head of Talent Management at Grupo Siro, during the press conference today at the University of Burgos.
“We will offer these students a work experience in any of the companies with which we have alliances, so students can have the hands-on approach of the acquired knowledge and an opportunity to continue growing professionally with us, he added.
The Master will start in October in the campus of the University of Burgos. It will be ideal for people with background in Food Science and Technology, Pharmacy, Veterinary, Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or Chemistry; Agricultural Engineering or Chemical Engineering; Human Nutrition and Dietetics; among others.
Applications will begin on August 16th, until September 15th. From that date, the Admissions team will select the 20 students that will take this course on its first edition. Moreover, the Grupo Siro Foundation will grant scholarships to two students who represent the values of Grupo Siro and demonstrate excellent academic backgrounds.
